This Week Near Greenleaf: September 15-21, 2026

· By Paul Knighton

The week of September 15 through 21 belongs to the Indian Creek Festival, Caldwell's signature fall celebration, landing Friday and Saturday just 11 minutes from Greenleaf. Around it sits a full week of markets, wine country, and one of the biggest festival weekends in Boise. If you live at 20602 Academy Rd, here is everything happening near you.

23rd Annual Indian Creek Festival: September 18-19

Caldwell's biggest fall event takes over Indian Creek Plaza for two days and it is the centerpiece of the week. The Friday, September 18 action runs 6:00 to 9:00 PM with live music on the plaza stage during the classic car cruise, with car cruise registration in the downtown area beforehand. Saturday, September 19 is the full day, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM: a Fireman's Breakfast (7-10 AM), the classic car show with awards late morning, Chalk the Block chalk art (9 AM-1 PM), a vendor market (10 AM-4 PM), a tug-of-war around 11 AM, and the quirky cardboard kayak races down the creek in the afternoon. Read our full guide to the event.

Farm and Fork Farmers Market: Tuesday, September 15

The Caldwell market at Indian Creek Plaza runs Tuesdays 5:00-8:00 PM through September 29. This Tuesday brings fresh local produce, artisan breads, local honey, crafts, and prepared foods, with free live music in the park during. It is just 11 minutes from home.

Greenleaf Farmers Market: Wednesday, September 16

The closest market to home runs Wednesdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Highway 19, just across from downtown Greenleaf. Fresh local produce, baked goods, honey, handmade crafts, and the chance to catch up with neighbors. The season continues through the fall.

Sunnyslope Wine Month: All September

September is Sunnyslope Wine Month on the Sunnyslope Wine Trail southwest of Caldwell. More than a dozen wineries offer special harvest tastings, winemaker dinners, vineyard tours, and new vintage releases throughout the month. The autumn colors across the vineyards are already starting to show, and the trail is just 15 minutes from 20602 Academy Rd.

A Big Boise Weekend: September 18-20

If you want to make a day of it, downtown Boise has one of its busiest weekends of the season. The Hyde Park Street Fair fills the North End neighborhood with arts and crafts vendors, vintage, handmade goods, food, and live music from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. The Boise Scottish Highland Games take over Expo Idaho with pipe bands, Scottish athletics, dancing, and food. Boise's downtown Pride Festival also runs Friday through Sunday. All about 35 to 40 minutes from Greenleaf.

The Week Ahead: Fall Season Kicks Off September 25

One week later the fall season opens in earnest: Cherry Hill Farms Fall Festival begins with its fifth season of corn maze and pumpkin patch fun on September 25, the ICA Finals Rodeo crowns its champions at D&B Supply Arena, and the free Nampa Home & Lifestyle Expo fills the Canyon County Fairgrounds. A week like this is exactly why so many people love living in Greenleaf.
