Fall National Antique Tractor Pull: September 24-27, 2026 Near Greenleaf
The Fall National Antique Tractor Pull rolls into the Canyon County Fairgrounds in Caldwell from Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, about 15 minutes from 20602 Academy Rd in Greenleaf. Restored vintage tractors, a groomed pulling track, and harvest-country energy make it a fitting way to mark the week fall officially begins in the Treasure Valley.
What and Where: September 24-27 at the Fairgrounds
This year's event is promoted by Pullin' Sleds LLC and takes place at the Agriculture Building and Ardell Pavilion on the Canyon County Fairgrounds in Caldwell. Antique tractor pulling is exactly what it sounds like: owners of restored and original machines compete to see whose tractor can pull the weighted sled the farthest down the track, a sport steeped in the region's farming heritage. As of late September, gate hours and admission had not yet been published for 2026, so check the Canyon County Fairgrounds event page for the latest schedule before heading over.
A Heritage That Runs Through Greenleaf
Tractor pulling is not a faraway curiosity for Greenleaf. The town has its own Fall Festival and Tractor Pull tradition at the Greenleaf Air Ranch, an event the Idaho Press has covered for years, drawing neighbors out by the hundreds to watch local machines compete. The 2026 Greenleaf festival date had not been announced by the town as of this writing, so watch the City of Greenleaf and Greenleaf Friends Academy calendars. The fairgrounds event this week is a chance to enjoy the same small-town enthusiasm a few miles closer to the highway.
Pair It With the Rest of the Week
The tractor pull lands in the middle of the busiest week of the fall season. Irrigation season in Greenleaf ends Friday morning, September 25, the Cherry Hill Farms Fall Festival opens that same day about 10 minutes from home, the ICA Finals Rodeo runs at D&B Supply Arena, and the Nampa Home & Lifestyle Expo fills the fairgrounds. Pull in a day at the track, a corn maze, and a rodeo, and you have used the Treasure Valley exactly the way it was meant to be used. See our full fall launch weekend guide.
